Basic Connectivity Troubleshooting
- Make sure the ignition is on.
- Make sure all of the cables and connectors are in good condition and are compatible with your translator.
- Make sure that you have selected the correct transmission type.
- Disconnect then reconnect the translator device from both the PC and the vehicle's diagnostic port.
- Make sure you have the most current translator device driver version installed on your PC.
- Close the application, disconnect the translator device from the PC, reboot the PC and try to reconnect.
- Ensure the TCM has sufficient power.
- Use the Data Bus Viewer feature to verify correct adapter installation and cabling. Additional cable types are available for purchase.
